I have multiple iPhoto '06 libraries, I wonder if the option on startup feature will work so I can convert both...
But at least it should be easy enough to just double-click the monolithic package to select which library. And if you *really* need to dig in there is always "Show Package Contents"
I'm curious about that as well. Let me know what you discover.
