Photoshop CS4 to include GPU acceleration?

After demonstrating Pixelmator at last month's GreerMUG meeting, one of the more frequent comments had to do with how fast the application performed. Matt correctly answered the reason was because it takes advantage of the Macintosh's GPU. The following article at TUAW outlines Adobe's plans for a Photoshop upgrade to do the same.

The article echoed a question that was in the back of my mind: Will the GPU enhancement be available on the OS X platform? It seems Adobe has been putting a lot more interest into the Windows platform in recent years - 64bit, more Photoshop Elements enhancements, very slow to move to universal binary, etc.

Seems like adobe may be walking away from the Mac.
