Apple Planning Support Center in India?

The Press Trust of India reports that Apple may be planning a technical support center in Karnataka, not unlike the one that Dell has. So far, Apple hasn’t made any official statement on the matter and the director of Software Technology Parks of India, Bangalore, BV Naidu, gave no details on investment and hiring plans noting that it’s for the company to make an announcement in this regard, reports Softpedia.

Despite no official confirmation, “a large number of protests” on behalf of the Mac community have already begun appearing over fears of communication barriers and lack of expertise in the technical field on behalf of the support personnel, the article adds. Also, it’s unclear if this technical support center—assuming one is even planned—would be for Macs or iPods, Softpedia adds.
