Hmmm. This links to an Apple discussion board which seems to indicate a broad problem. I haven't experienced this. Has anyone else? -TG

Apple Introduces iPop: A Snap! Crackle! Pop! Inspired feature to OS X: "For many, the recently released Mac OS X 10.4.10 update has introduced a 'popping' sound coming from the audio line out. No official explanation or fix has been released for this bug, though some have suggested that the sound is associated with the audio system turning on/off in a malfunctioning power save mode.
